About Shipping for Sellers

Shipping for Sellers is published by the FlowLister team. Every carrier price, divisor and rule on the site is quoted from USPS, UPS, FedEx or eBay and dated, and this page explains how.

How are the numbers here checked?

Every carrier and eBay figure on this site comes from the carrier's or eBay's own page: USPS's Domestic Mail Manual and Notice 123 price list, the UPS and FedEx service guides, and eBay's help and Seller Center pages. Each table carries a source line and the date it was checked. The full check behind the current pages was done on September 23, 2026.

When two official pages disagree, we say so and tell you which one we followed. USPS's Quick Service Guides still show the old 166 divisor in their examples, for instance, while the Domestic Mail Manual says 139. We follow the Domestic Mail Manual.

When do the figures go stale?

Carrier prices change several times a year. USPS changed prices on January 18, April 26 and July 12 in 2026, and runs holiday prices from October 4, 2026 to January 17, 2027. FedEx has announced an average 5.9% increase in standard list rates for January 4, 2027. A figure dated before the latest change should be checked against the carrier before you rely on it.

Who publishes it?

The FlowLister team publishes Shipping for Sellers. FlowLister is AI eBay listing software that turns item photos into complete eBay listings, shipping included, and publishes to eBay through eBay's official Trading API. Shipping gets set when the listing is written and billed on what the carrier measures, which is why it was worth writing down properly. FlowLister is AI and it misses things, so nothing here assumes you'll trust a number without checking it.

How is this content made?

Shipping for Sellers is drafted with AI for the FlowLister team and checked against the carrier's or eBay's own pages. Each table carries a source line and the date it was checked. The site also follows four rules on money, numbers, links and scope, so you can see what it will and won't do:

  • No affiliate links, no carrier sponsorships, no paid placements. No carrier or supplier had any input.
  • No invented statistics. Worked examples are labelled as examples and use the carriers' published prices or plain arithmetic.
  • FlowLister gets one link per page, in the labelled disclosure block. Other mentions are plain text and marked as ours.
  • US only. Prices are in US dollars, sizes in inches and weights in pounds.

Corrections

Corrections to Shipping for Sellers go through the contact page at flowlister.com/contact/. Include the page, the figure, and the carrier or eBay page that shows it's wrong. Carrier prices change several times a year, so the dated figures are the ones most likely to need a correction.
